Tennis Tidbits: Past, Present, Future

Past: Four-time Roland Garros champion Justine Henin said that she’s quite “sad” seeing players reaching the top of the women’s tour rankings without winning even a single Slam title. The former world number one’s statement brought mixed reactions from fans in different tennis forums.

One said that she shouldn’t be saying that since it was her “fault” because she left the tennis scene at the height of her career (and being number one at that time) while others have been calling for Henin to make a comeback instead. The Belgian stressed that she’ll never make a comeback. Let’s wait and see.

Present: Good news for website/blog site owners! I just came across a site that promises competitive payouts and long term profits. I checked the Alexa ranking of this site (Smowtion) and it ranks 5,798 globally so I’m thinking that this is the real deal. Just signed up. You should too. Just click this LINK.

Future: Telegraph India reports that India’s tennis star Sania Mirza is scheduled to get engaged by July this year. Her beau was a former classmate back in her school days. The engagement ceremony will take place as soon as she returns from her stint at the Roland Garros. Congratulations are in order.
