Swedish player Robin Soderling continued his dramatic run at this year’s Roland Garros by beating two-time semifinalist Nikolay Davydenko in the quarterfinals. The victory proved that his upset win over 4-time defending champion Rafael Nadal in the fourth round was no fluke.
Another challenge looms ahead for the Swede as he faces Chilean player Fernando Gonzalez in the semifinals this Friday, June 5. Gonzalez, an Australian Open finalist, currently leads their head-to-head matches, winning the last four encounters (4-3).
