Roland Garros: Rafael Nadal’s stage

The four-time Roland Garros champion Rafael Nadal is considered the hot favorite in the French Open betting to raise the Musketeers Cup once again.

In just six seasons and 23 years old Nadal has made great numbers, among which worth mentioning that he has won 13 of the 18 titles contested on clay, a fact which certainly means that he can be considered the best on this surface.

The world’s number two, who found an extra motivation to break records and statistics, can regain the first place in the tennis world at the end of Roland Garros, but this can only happen if he wins the tournament and Federer loses before the semifinals.

Undoubtedly Nadal is on his favorite surface; taking into account that he has won three clay tournaments in a row this season; the Masters Series in Rome, Monte Carlo and Madrid and for this tournament seems more than prepare to win against any rival.

On the other hand, his biggest rival Roger Federer seems to have arrived to Paris confident and relaxed after reaching last year’s Roland Garros victory in his fourth consecutive final in which he had the pleasure to raise the Trophy of the Three Musketeers for the first time.

Another aspect that might be considered negative for Federer is that he arrives to the French Open this season without winning a tournament on clay. His best result in this area was when he reached the Madrid final which he lost to Nadal.

However, it is clear that Federer is one of the few players capable of giving Nadal a great battle in Paris and in any other tournament, which is why fans of this sport expect a final between these two great players.
