Last year’s Paris Masters finalist Gael Monfils is back at the same stage once more as he heroically defeated world number two Roger Federer in the semifinals stage. He’s once again contesting for his first-ever career Masters title but this time against Swedish star Robin Soderling. Monfils was defeated last year by Novak Djokovic but this time, he’ll be facing against a player who has yet to also win his first Masters title.
This is going to be an interesting match between the two players. Soderling currently holds the edge in head-to-head matches with 2-0 but with the impressive play given by Monfils against Federer and the home crowd backing him up, the latter may have a better chance of winning this match.
