Another thrilling Australian Open 2011 Semifinal match is in the offing this Thursday as world number two Roger Federer faces world number three Novak Djokovic with the winner getting a spot in the Australian Open 2011 Men’s Singles Final. Defending champion Roger Federer easily defeated compatriot and good friend Stanislas Warinka in the quarterfinals, the same case for Djokovic against Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic.
This will be the 20th meeting between the two with Federer leading their head-to-head match record 13-6. The last time they’ve battled was at the semifinals of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2010 in London where Federer won in straight sets.
