Spain’s Nicolas Almagro won his eighth ATP-level title after beating Ukraine’s Alexandr Dolgopolov 6-3, 7-6 in the final of the Brazil 2011 tournament. He also won this title three years ago.
Almagro is a known claycourt specialist and all of his title wins have all come on clay.
Dolgopolov appeared in his first career ATP singles final. He made waves last month at the Australian Open 2011 after reaching the quarterfinals.
