Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2011: Novak Djokovic qualifies first for year-end showdown in London

For a fifth consecutive year, Serbia’s Novak Djokovic qualifies for the season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2011 in London following his headline grabbing title win at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia or Rome Masters 2011 last Sunday.

The world number two is currently enjoying a 37-0 match record this season which saw him win seven ATP titles so far in 2011: Australian Open, Dubai Tennis Championships, Indian Wells, Miami Masters, Serbia Open, Madrid Masters and Rome Masters.

The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals 2011 takes place at The O2 Arena in London from November 20 to 27. Only the world’s top eight players based on their results this 2011 season will compete at this prestigious event. Djokovic won this title in 2008. Last year, he lost in the semifinals to Roger Federer, his last recorded defeat before he went on an unbeaten streak as of this date.
