World number one Caroline Wozniacki won her fourth title of the 2011 season after beating China’s Peng Shuai 26 63 63 in the final of the inaugural Brussels Open.

This marked Wozniacki’s 16th career title and her victory on Saturday makes her a favorite to win her first Grand Slam title at the Roland Garros 2011 tournament which begins on May 22.

“It’s my fourth title of the season. I was pleased with the way I played and fought today,” Wozniacki said after the match.

“I’m happy to be the first winner of this tournament. It’s a beautiful city and the crowd has been great all week. Now I’m looking forward to Roland Garros – I think I play on Monday, but I’ll be ready,” she added.
