World number five Robin Soderling is back in the quarterfinals of the Roland Garros 2011 tournament and he’s a player that should not be underestimated by his next opponent.
The Swede reached the final eight after beating Gilles Simon of France in straight sets. His next opponent is five-time champion Rafael Nadal.
These two opponents have an interesting history here at the Roland Garros. It was Soderling who handed Nadal his lone loss here in Paris – at the 2009 French Open fourth round. The Swede went on to reach the final where he lost to Federer. Last year, Nadal avenged the defeat by beating Soderling at the 2010 French Open final.
