Wimbledon 2011: Rafael Nadal beats Mardy Fish to reach final four

Defending Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal beat American tenth-seeded Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 to reach the semifinal. The world number one will next face familiar opponent – fourth-seeded Scot Andy Murray. The Spaniard is currently on a 19-match win streak at SW19.

“I started the first two sets playing very well but made mistakes in third and lost my intensity,” the 10-time Grand Slam winner said.

“But I started playing more aggressively in the fourth and I’m very happy to be in the semi-finals,” he added.
As for playing against Murray for a spot in the Wimbledon final, Nadal said that he’s looking forward to the encounter.

“It’s always an honor to play against Andy, he has played fantastic in the last few months,” Nadal said.

“He is playing well here and it’s always a pleasure to play him. We play Playstation a lot outside the court and we are good friends,” he added.
