Four-time Australian Open champion Roger Federer will meet Juan Martin del Potro at the quarterfinals of the 2012 Australian Open tournament. The last time that they’ve clashed was at last year’s Cincinnati Masters third round where Federer won. In a recent interview, Federer said the upcoming match, scheduled on January 24 – Tuesday, is going to be a good one.
Federer leads the head-to-head series record against Del Potro with 7-2. They’ve played in a Grand Slam final once – at the 2009 US Open where Del Potro edged the Swiss star in five sets.
