Roland Garros 2012 Men’s Singles Draw | Seeds

The French 2012 Men’s Singles Draw and Seeds have been released with world number one Novak Djokovic clinching the top seeding for the first time. Meanwhile, six-time champion and defending titlist Rafael Nadal snagged the second seeding after winning the Rome Masters 2012 tournament last week which saw his ranking rise once more to number two. Meanwhile, 2011 finalist Roger Federer secured the third seeding and could potentially meet Djokovic in the semifinals – same as last year’s.

It was Federer who ended Djokovic’s magnificent 41-winning streak. Could this be the same next week? Djokovic’s performance during the claycourt swing has been impressive but not as the same as last year’s where he trounced Nadal in most of those major claycourt events.

This time, the storm has passed and Nadal reclaimed his spot as the most dangerous player in claycourts after winning Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Rome and will certainly gun for his seventh French Open title, an achievement no one has gotten yet.
