Roland Garros 2012 Men’s Singles Final Match Suspended due to rain

The Roland Garros 2012 Men’s Singles Final Match between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal has been suspended due to heavy rain. Nadal currently leads a set and a break in the second set 6-4, 5-3. Play may still resume today since it has been forecasted that rain will ease away in less than an hour.

The Roland Garros stadium still doesn’t have a retractable roof though plans are already underway to have one in the next few years.

As per Radio Roland Garros commentators, weather forecast for tomorrow is expected to be bleak as well – which means rains are expected to pour in the next few days. This can very well affect the grasscourt tournaments that will take place in London and Halle which begins tomorrow.
