Brazilian Thomas Bellucci won the Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad trophy for the second time on Sunday after beating top seed Janko Tipsarevic of Serbia 6-7, 6-4- 6-2 in the final on Sunday. The world number 60 also ended the winning streak of his opponent, who had won the Mercedes Cup title a week ago.
Bellucci won this event in 2009 as a qualifier and now he’s back carrying the trophy, which serves as his third career ATP World Tour title.
“Gstaad is very special for me because I won my first title here three years ago, which was a surprise and unexpected,” said Bellucci.
“For me to win one more time here is very special. I feel very comfortable here, like I’m playing at home,” he added.
The unseeded Brazilian received 250 ranking points plus €64,700.
