Eighth-seeded Angelique Kerber is the heavy favorite to win the 2012 Wimbledon quarterfinal match against Sabine Lisicki. Both German stars have progressed magnificently this season but it is Kerber who stands out among the rest, posting a WTA Tour lead 44 wins this 2012 season. Though it can still be argued that Lisicki plays well on grass, having reached the Wimbledon semifinals last year and also beat the top-ranked woman of the moment Maria Sharapova in the previous round.
