David Ferrer to reclaim number four ranking after Roland Garros

By virtue of reaching the Roland Garros 2013 final, David Ferrer of Spain will reclaim the number four ranking, supplanting compatriot Rafael Nadal for that spot.

Being the defending champion at the French Open, Rafael Nadal won’t be adding more points on his current rankings and Ferrer added more points since he was a semifinalist last year. Regardless of what the results are in the final, Ferrer will be number four.

Avid Nadal fans won’t be worrying too much about Nadal’s possible seeding at the Wimbledon tournament now that he’ll be number five next week. Wimbledon has its own formula in determining seedings and it is very likely that Nadal will be granted a higher seeding at the All England Club.
