Nadal dominates Wawrinka to advance at Roland Garros semifinals

Seven-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal is now just two matches away from sealing his eighth title victory in Paris after a commanding straight sets win over Swiss player Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. Nadal now has a 10-0 head to head series lead over Wawrinka. Up next for the Mallorcan is top-ranked Novak Djokovic of Serbia in a not to be missed blockbuster semifinal match on Friday.

With the victory, Nadal has compiled 57-1 win-loss record in Paris with the lone defeat coming from Robin Soderling in the 2009 fourth round. The match against Wawrinka was a sort of rematch from the Mutua Madrid Masters final earlier this month with Nadal winning that encounter as well.
