Wimbledon starts handing out wildcards

The Wimbledon Championships 2013 will be taking place in less than two weeks and the All England Club has started giving out wildcards. Notable players who received wild card entries on Wednesday were Frenchman Nicolas Mahut, known to have lost the longest match in tennis history against John Isner where they both battled in a span of three days. Mahut lost that match 70-68.

Other recipients were Australia’s Matthew Eben and Germany’s Andrea Petkovic.
