Spanish court finds Bernard Tomic’s dad guilty of head-butting son’s training partner

A Spanish court has ruled that John Tomic, the father of Australian tennis pro Bernard Tomic, guilty of head-butting his son’s former training partner. The incident took place in May.

The court gave a sentence of eight months for Tomic but he won’t be getting any prison time because he has no criminal record and the sentence provided was less than two years. Aside from this, he was issued a restraining order of staying 500 meters away from Thomas Drouet, the one he assaulted.

According to reports, the decision of the court can still be appealed.
