Dimitrov ends coaching partnership with Swedish tennis academy

Bulgaria’s number one player Grigor Dimitrov has reportedly ended partnership with his coaches at the Good to Great Academy, a Swedish tennis academy run by tennis great Magnus Norman. According to TENNIS.com, Dimitrov is currently being coached by his father at the ongoing China Open in Beijing. It’s not yet known whether he will hire another coach soon.

Norman revealed that Dimitrov had to end the relationship because the latter has been spending more time training in Los Angeles than in Sweden. His girlfriend, world number three Maria Sharapova, owns a house in Los Angeles and also trains there.

It’s not surprising that Dimitrov signed on his father Dimitar to be his coach for now considering that it was the latter who taught him how to play the sport.
