Novak Djokovic imparts words of encouragement to kids at Buenos Aires tennis camp

World number two Novak Djokovic spearheaded a tennis camp activity for children at a school in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Thursday. The Serbian was presented with a jersey of the Boca Juniors football team by City Mayor Mauricio Macri prior to giving his words of encouragement to the participants.

“To always have the right values in life, to always respect the family, be close to each other and then the success in life and the happiness is inevitable,” Djokovic was quoted as saying.

“Today when we had the visit to the school, I changed basically in five minutes, made the quickest football transfer from Boca Juniors to San Francisco, I changed the shirt in five minutes because the reaction of Boca Juniors shirt in that school was not so good,” he added.

Djokovic is currently in South America this week to participate in a series of exhibition matches to honor tennis players Nicolas Massu of Chile and David Nalbandian of Argentina. In Wednesday this week, Djokovic defeated top-ranked Rafael Nadal in Chile. The duo will face against each other once more on Sunday in Buenos Aires.

“I don’t feel tired now because I came to Argentina for the first time so I’m full of energy. I’m just really happy to experience everything this country has to offer,” Djokovic said when addressed about his busy month so far.
