Spain’s Llagostera Vives not sure to appeal two-year ban from tennis

Spain’s Nuria Llagostera Vives, who made tennis headlines this week after she was banned from competing for two years after testing positive for methamphetamine in July 2013 in Stanford, California, said that she is not sure whether she will appeal the decision by the ITF Tribunal to the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

“I do not know if I have the strength to fight,” the 33-year-old said in an interview with El Mundo Deportivo. “The only thing I can say is I’m very affected by this situation.”

Llagostera Vives has achieved success both in singles and doubles competition. She has a total of 16 doubles titles in her career. She won’t be able to compete until September 7, 2015.
