Medical scans show no serious back problems for Rafael Nadal

World number one Rafael Nadal is cleared to participate in upcoming tournaments later this month.

According to the results from the medical scans done recently on Nadal, there were no serious back problems for the world number one player. Nadal is currently making a fast recovery from the back injury he sustained in the recently concluded Australian Open 2014 final. Nadal lost to first-time Major winner Stanislas Wawrinka in the final.

A statement released from Nadal’s camp said that the scan results “were satisfactory and showed positive evolution.”

Nadal is still doing his gym workouts and will be making a return to the tennis courts to practice later this week. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough in time to compete at Buenos Aires next week. Nadal is slated to compete in Rio de Janeiro, Indian Wells and Miami in the next few weeks.
