Roger Federer announced last week that he’ll be participating at the 2017 edition of the Hopman Cup in Perth, Australia. This will be the first time in 15 years that the Swiss Maestro is participating at this event as he usually starts his season in Brisbane prior to the Australian Open in Melbourne. However, this development may be in doubt now that the 17-time Grand Slam champion announced that he’s ending his 2016 season effective immediately.
As mentioned, the last time he played at the annual international eight-team indoor hardcourt tennis tournament but did you know who was his teammate back then? It’s none other than his now-wife Miroslava “Mirka” Federer! She was then Miroslava Vavrinec.
