Boston to host the 2020 Laver Cup, tickets on sale March 6th

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer will be leading Team Europe once more in the fourth edition of the Laver Cup . The competition takes place from September 25 to 27, 2020 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachussetts.

Tickets for this highly anticipated team competition will go on sale on March 6 at 10am Eastern time via Ticketmaster

Team Europe has won the prior three Laver Cup events. The inaugural event took place in Prague last 2017. This will be first time that Federer will visit this American city.

“I’ve never been to Boston and I’m really looking forward to seeing some of the sights and playing tennis in front of their great fans” said Federer.

“The Laver Cup is like nothing else in world tennis and I’m sure playing in a city that loves its sport as much as Boston does, the atmosphere is going to be unreal.

“Each year gets tougher for Team Europe to hold back Team World, and Boston will be a whole new ball game.”

The three-day competition features six of the best players from Europe, led by Bjorn Borg, against six of their counterparts from the rest of the World, captained by John McEnroe.

Laver Cup is named after Australian tennis legend Rod Laver. The venue for this year’s edition will be at the TD Garden – home of the Boston Celtics (NBA) and Boston Bruins (NHL).

“We’re looking forward to launching ticket sales next week,” Laver Cup CEO Steve Zacks said today.

“We’re expecting an incredible experience in September for both the players and fans alike at TD Garden in one of the greatest sports cities in the world.”
