Stefanos Tsitsipas tries on Philippine delicacy “Taho”

Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas is making the best out of his stay in the Philippines. The world number six, fresh from a final run at the Dubai Tennis Championships last weekend, is in Manila ahead of the Davis Cup World Group II playoffs.

One of the first things he did in the city? Eat taho – a Philippine delicacy. As per Wikipedia, taho is a Philippine snack food made of fresh soft/silken tofu, arnibal (sweetener and flavoring), and sago pearl (similar to tapioca pearls).

He’s been actively posting photos in his social media channels as well.

Tsitsipas is fresh from a title defense in Marseille and runner-up finish in Dubai last weekend and will certainly be a crowd drawer at this upcoming event. The Greek star lost the ATP 500 Dubai final to reigning world number one Novak Djokovic. He also reached the same staged in the Middle Eastern tournament a year ago where he lost to Roger Federer.

“I will try to represent my country as best as possible,” the 21 year old said.

Tsitsipas is the youngest player in the world’s top 10 at the moment and has five career ATP titles to date.

Team Greece will feature Stefanos, his younger brother Petros, Michail Pervolarakis, and Markos Kalovelonis. The team’s captain is Dimitris Chatzinikolaou.
