The ATP/WTA China Open 2009 takes place this week at the Beijing Olympic Green Tennis Center, the venue of last year’s Olympics. Defending champion Andy Roddick is back to aim for glory and a spot in the year-end championships. In the women’s side, it was Elena Dementieva who found gold in these courts when she clinched the Olympic gold after defeating compatriot Dinara Safina in the final.
