Top-ranked Roger Federer reached his 23rd consecutive Grand Slam semifinal after beating Nikolay Davydenko in the quarterfinals and will now have to get past by Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga to reach the final of this year’s Australian Open. Both players have met twice previously and are 1-1 in head-to-head matches.
