Prince William, Kate Middleton play mixed tennis doubles at The Queen’s Club

Britain’s Prince William and soon-to-be wife Kate Middleton took time off of their busy schedule by playing mixed tennis doubles at The Queen’s Club against Middleton’s sister Pippa and another friend. This development was reported by several British news outlets. Kate Middleton’s sister happens to be a member of the Queen’s Club, a site of one of the grasscourt tournaments prior to the Wimbledon Grand Slam event.

A club member was quoted saying that despite Middleton’s sporty background, she seemed to be a bit rusty in the game and was “a bit hit and miss” and was reminded of the late Princess Diana. However, she “was better than William” in the game.

Middleton, a known tennis aficionado, is reportedly ready to be the Royal representative for Wimbledon 2011 – dubbed as the most prestigious tennis event of the season.

THe Prince William – Kate Middleton Royal Wedding takes place on April 29, 2011.
