The 2012 WTA Championships Istanbul begins today and the world’s top eight singles players plus two alternates and four top doubles teams are in the Turkish capital to compete for lucrative cash prizes and important ranking points that will solidify their place in the 2013 season. Poland’s Agnieszka Radwanska secured her place in the elite eight for the fourth time.
The Wimbledon 2012 finalist has won 57 matches out of 74 matches played. She’s won three titles this season – Dubai, Miami and Brussels and reaching the final at the All England Club.
